Richard W. Egan
President, Chief Executive Officer & Director
Mr. Egan is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Life2. His early career was spent as a member of technology start-up teams in the critical “zero to one million” revenue growth phase. He worked closely with many early stage investors within the venture capital community. Mr. Egan leveraged this early experience as a member of the management team at publicly held VSI Enterprises. His career started in direct sales with progressively increasing responsibilities including National Accounts Manager, Regional Sales Manager, and Vice President of Global Sales. The Board of Directors promoted Mr. Egan to President, Chief Executive Officer and Director to lead a strategy of moving the company from a hardware manufacturer to a software provider.
Since VSI, Mr. Egan has been the Managing Partner of a business advisory firm specializing in early stage growth and business transformation. In client engagements, Mr. Egan has served as a member of various management teams and strategic advisor to Boards and investors. His engagements included artificial intelligence solutions that manage hospital optimization, fraud detection and identity protection technology in the financial sector as well as a SaaS solution that optimizes outreach to consumers via email and social media. Mr. Egan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Mr. Egan is an active alumni and has served as an advisor mentor for the TI:GER MBA Program (Technology Innovation: Generating Economic Results).
R. Lee Morris
Chief Financial Officer & Director
Mr. Morris is responsible for managing all financial aspects of Life2. He has served as a Chief Financial Officer with several fast growth companies within the technology community. His current and past responsibilities include all aspects of the financial, legal and human resource disciplines. He has also held several directorships.
Recently, he served as the Chief Financial Officer of Ammacore, Inc. an IT services company. He also served as the Chief Financial Officer for FiPath, Inc. which was funded by Imlay Investments, FleetRisk Advisors, Inc., a predictive analytics technology Company (acquired by Qualcomm January 2011) and Gideon Technologies, Inc. an IT security software company (acquired by Symantec January 2010). Lee also served as a Managing Director of EGL Holdings, LLC., a venture capital and corporate finance company; as a Director and the Chief Financial Officer of The NetCommerce Company (Span2); the Chief Financial Officer of E3 Corporation a supply chain software company with fourteen offices worldwide and a “Fast Tech 50” and “Atlanta 100” Company (acquired by JDA Software, Inc.); as the Chief Financial Officer and a Director of FormMaker Software, Inc. (later DocuCorp International, Inc. (NASDQ), and acquired by Skywire Software, LLC) an “INC. 500”, “Atlanta Business Chronicle Top 25 Computer Company” and “National Fast 500 Technology” Company; and as the Chief Financial Officer and Director of American Technical Services Group, Inc., an “INC 500”, “Fast Tech 50” and “Atlanta 100” Company.
Mr. Morris served as an NCO with a United States Marine Corps ANGLICO unit. He graduated with honors from Florida State University and began his financial career with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Atlanta, GA (formerly Coopers & Lybrand). He is a Charter Member of the Technology Executive Roundtable and is recognized in Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who Among Rising Young Americans and Who’s Who Worldwide.
Derek M. Norton, Ph.D. (ABD)
Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Norton is trained as a Statistician, specializing in the area of data science. His work experience has had a strong consulting focus, providing expertise in a variety of areas ranging from developing advanced analytics and machine learning models to leading clients in the “Art of Possible”. Mr. Norton is also the founder of the Atlanta R Users Group.
Mr. Norton’s experience began with a Bachelors, Masters, and PhD (ABD) in Statistics with a focus in Financial Econometrics (Multivariate Time Series) and Applied Computational Statistics (Data Mining).
Mr. Norton’s experience includes predictive modeling consulting and development work in areas such as: fraud, lifetime value, market share, pump failure, failure to appear in court, drug adherence, opioid diversion, and likelihood of claims payment. These covered domains such as hospitality, telco, credit risk, and healthcare.
The last five years prior to joining Life2, Mr. Norton served a variety of roles at Microsoft, including: Global Lead Data Scientist, Architect, and Industry Digital Strategist in Microsoft Engineering, Consulting Services, and Worldwide Commercial Business. His focus at Microsoft was always Data Science and Machine Learning, but the roles ranged from hands on model building to strategic leadership of digital transformations for large healthcare corporations.
The common thread throughout Mr. Norton’s career is bringing advanced analytics and machine learning models to clients in easily understood and actionable terms.
Hsi-Ming Lin
Vice President of Operations
Mr. Lin is responsible for managing Life2’s technology infrastructure environment. Mr. Lin has over 25 years of experience managing development teams, providing consulting & technical services, and bringing new and innovative products to market. Mr. Lin has worked as an independent consultant, assisting companies develop business strategies, technical solutions and operational processes.
Mr. Lin co-founded The Span2/NetCommerce Company, where he served as Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President. Mr. Lin also served as Senior VP of R&D at Docucorp International (formerly FormMaker Software). He was responsible for the creation and development of DAP (the Document Automation Platform) for FormMaker, now known in the industry as Oracle Documaker. Prior to Docucorp, Mr. Lin’s business experience included several senior management and product development positions with several successful companies in the financial services market.
Robert T. Summers (Rab)

Mr. Summers is Chairman of Board of Summers-Taylor, Inc., a leading materials producer and heavy construction contractor located in Elizabethton, TN. He is a graduate of Duke University with a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering. Mr. Summers also graduated from Emory University with a Master Degree in Business. He joined Summers-Taylor, Inc. in 1969 as Executive Vice President and was elected Chairman of Board in 1990.
Grant T. Summers
Director
Mr. Summers is President of Summers-Taylor, Inc., a leading materials producer and heavy construction contractor located in Elizabethan, TN. He is a 2004 graduate of Duke University with a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering. Mr. Summers also graduated from the University of Michigan with a Master’s Degree in Business in 2008. He currently is responsible for managing all operations. Additional responsibilities include owner/client negotiations, LEED, and environmental project coordination and management.

William R. Beam
Chief Advisor
Mr. Beam has over 40 years of healthcare experience and has served in many senior executive management positions throughout the United States and International public and private sectors. Over the past 25 years, he has built an extensive global business network with a concentration in Asia.
In the early-1980’s, Mr. Beam recognized the healthcare market was rapidly changing and leadership would have to adopt different decision tools and develop new skill sets. He accepted a management fellowship with United Technologies Corporation (UTC) to study business and manufacturing operations to learn how those processes could be implemented in the healthcare industry.
From UTC, he moved to Lockheed Missiles and Space Company in Sunnyvale California. While in the Silicon Valley, he developed a unique set of skills while performing contract administration oversight with some of the largest technology companies including NASA and Lawrence Livermore National Labs. Upon his return to healthcare in 1992, he quickly began applying his process focused skills toward developing some of the earliest models of clinical relational data bases, decision support and disease management.
Since the 1990s, Mr. Beam has been involved in re-engineering healthcare strategies in various countries, corporations and healthcare systems. In 1999, he led an effort in the UAE to correct the course of a troubled multi-billion dollar healthcare project. During this experience, Mr. Beam gained an intimate knowledge of the Middle East/North African (MENA) healthcare community and began advising various ministers throughout the region. He had offices in Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Cairo.
As a result of his unique relationships, Mr. Beam was subsequently recruited by the Chairman of the Joint Commission to assist with developing their international marketing plan. That project led Mr. Beam to Singapore where he was recruited by the CEO of Parkway Pantai Ltd, one of Asia’s largest for-profit healthcare systems, and the State Minister of Health to develop their joint market strategy for attracting MENA patients to their country and facilities.
The success of the Singapore project created a high demand at the highest levels of government and business for Mr. Beam’s services throughout the Near East, Middle East and Far East. Many initiatives followed including discreet system/policy reviews, strategic planning, public-private venture modeling, and re-engineering of national health systems.
Mr. Beam’s background, global experience and extensive network has made him one of the most sought after advisors in the healthcare and business community. Adam R. Silverman MD, FACP
Chief Clinical Advisor
Dr. Silverman is a passionate healthcare innovator with 30 years of experience as a physician and executive. He has a diverse work history that includes private practice, academic medicine and physician leadership in both hospital and ambulatory settings. He is a board-certified General Internist who is currently serving as the inaugural Chief Medical Officer of Syllable.ai, a conversational AI healthcare technology company.
He has deep accountable and value-based care experience and has had senior leadership roles in large health systems. He co-directed the Connecticut Institute for Primary Care Innovation and has presented nationally on the concept of the primary care office of the future and population health. Dr. Silverman is passionate about the need to go “upstream” to address the real drivers of health care cost and quality.
Dr. Silverman received his BA in Geography at Middlebury College, his MD at the Pennsylvania State University School of Medicine and completed his residency at the Northwestern University School of Medicine.
Cliff Carroll
Advisor
Mr. Carroll’s background is in Healthcare IT and executive leadership. In the last 20 years he has held leadership positions ranging from CEO of start-up companies to senior roles at large public companies. Mr. Carroll led the restructuring, funding and launch of Transparent Health Marketplace, an AI-driven platform for innovative e-procurement of healthcare services by health insurers and consumers. This work included an exclusive partnership with Anthem Healthcare to co-develop, private-label and launch the platform to the Anthem provider network and customer base.
Mr. Carroll also led the sales strategy, marketing and transformation of SAIC’s healthcare IT business unit to both civilian and military agencies. Mr. Carroll served as President of both WIPRO Global Healthcare and Unisys Healthcare Systems. In addition to senior leadership roles, Mr. Carroll was the acquirer of Wellcare Managed Care. He created the acquisition strategy, executed private equity funding and recruited the management team prior to expanding services throughout the state of Florida. Based on that foundation, Wellcare completed a $17B merger with Centene in 2018. Mr. Carroll also served as the CEO of Health Process Management, leading the restructuring, stepped growth and divestiture of this $20M Johnson & Johnson and Zurich Re joint venture.
John D. Feltman
Advisor
Mr. Feltman’s background is in Wall Street and Healthcare. In the last 25 years he has helped create, fund, and serve as CEO and Chairman of four healthcare companies (FutureMatrix Interventional, CeloNova BioSciences, Ascendx Spine, and Brookhaven Medical). He has raised more than $200 million in capital for those companies as well as other outside engagements.
Since selling his last company three years ago, Mr. Feltman has consulted for several early-stage healthcare companies, including Life2, where he has been a strategic advisor with a focus on securing capital from value added investors and aiding business development efforts.
Mr. Feltman studied economics and history in the Honors Program at the University of Georgia where he is a member of the Board of Visitors of the University of Georgia Foundation. Peter G. Foster, Ph.D.

Dr. Foster is a professional company director and corporate advisor, specializing in technology companies. He is currently non-executive Director of Aerometrex, a publicly traded aerial mapping company (ASX:AMX) and non-executive Director of US pharmaceutical services company VivoSense.
Dr. Foster is a creative entrepreneur with wide-ranging experience ranging from founding and developing innovative technology startups across a variety of industries, right through to public company governance.
Dr. Foster is a commercially-driven technologist and problem-solver at heart and thrives on building value around new technology opportunity. He has well established relationships across Australia, the Middle East and Far East in technology, healthcare, energy and venture funding. His current business interests span healthcare, pharmaceuticals, Fintech, mapping and electronics manufacturing.
Dr. Foster’s early career was in the field of laser physics, translating technologies between markets. In one instance, he adapted a medical laser device for use in industrial applications, which today is still the only technology capable of depositing diamond-like coatings at room temperature for use in optics and aerospace components. Similarly, he transformed the common USB into a precision distributed timing network. Dr. Foster easily translates concept to application, to market need and ultimately to finding the right customer. His recent work has largely focused on capitalizing small companies in medical and allied markets and assisting their executives to navigate the path to growth.
Dr. Foster received his PhD in Physics from the University of Adelaide. He has extensive experience with the invention and intellectual property protection process and holds over 50 international patents.
